Reflections from a month of Tutoring in Morocco

Potential Is Everywhere—Turning Moroccan Children’s Drive Into OpportunitySubhead:

For the past month, I had the privilege of tutoring children in Casablanca—sharing lessons in Maths, English, and French with a group of bright, eager students.

Every session, I arrived expecting to bring them new knowledge. But with each interaction, I realised they were giving me something far greater: their unwavering drive, attentive focus, and infectious joy for learning.

Watching their faces light up as we solved tough problems or practiced words, I saw a hunger for growth that goes far beyond the curriculum. Several boys asked if they could tackle extra questions. Another child requested to practice English during recess, just to keep learning alive outside the classroom. Their enthusiasm became my own inspiration.

Potential is everywhere in Morocco’s youth. But opportunity is not. The gap isn’t in children’s curiosity or capacity—it’s in their access to resources, support, and targeted learning environments. These students demonstrated that with even a little encouragement, creativity and determination flourish.

Their eagerness makes one thing clear: when we expand tutoring programs and supply distribution, we help turn promise into progress. I am grateful to my students—not just for their questions and hard work, but for reminding me what limitless potential looks like.

If this story moved you, I invite you to help us grow these programs and reach more children. Your support makes direct, tangible impact for learners who deserve every chance to succeed.
