The Hardest Questions We Get: Your FAQs Answered

We believe in radical transparency — and that means answering the hard questions openly. Here are the questions we get most often, answered in full:

Q: “You’re a young charity. How can I trust you with my donation?”

A: We are a UK-registered charity (Charity Commission No. 1213548) with full compliance to UK charity law. Every donation is tracke. We undergo financial review annually, and our trustees approve every spend over £100.

Q: “Do donations really go to Morocco, or do they get swallowed by admin?”

A: As a non-profit organisation, our donations go directly to projects in Morocco. Our admin costs are minimal — no office rent, no salaries, no expensive marketing. We operate lean so your donation reaches the classroom, not the filing cabinet.

Q: “Why don’t you just get the Moroccan government to provide these?”

A: We support government efforts, but resources don’t always reach every child — especially in rural or marginalised areas. We fill the gaps quickly and flexibly, with no bureaucratic delays.

Q: “Aren’t there bigger charities doing this already?”

A: There are, but scale doesn’t always mean depth. Larger charities often can’t reach small, dispersed communities as efficiently. Our size lets us be agile, culturally sensitive, and highly targeted. As a smaller charity, Ta'leem Trust is able to focus on a specific goal, and providing specific resources to children who need them most.

Q: “How do I know the impact is real?”

A: We measure every project — how many children equipped, grade improvements and child satisfaction at school. Impact reports will be posted when available.

Q: “What’s your long-term goal?”

A: To create sustainable local education ecosystems — not just distribute supplies forever, but enable communities to maintain their own education access through volunteer training, local sourcing, and school partnerships.

If you still have questions, we want to hear them. Email eliav@taleem-trust.com — because your trust matters as much as your donation.
